Minister of Tourism, Arief Yahya, at the event said that Indonesia-China bilateral diplomacy established in April 13, 1950 is still well maintained. Back to 611 years ago, Admiral Cheng Ho led a goodwill cruise named “Maritime Silk Road” becoming the forerunner of good relations between the two countries. In addition, in 2013, Chinese government implemented the one belt one road policy in the international relations denoting the maritime silk route of the 21st century.

“I have met the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Talib Rivai. This UN agency has agreed to popularize the Chinese business initiatives with the concept of one belt one road. It ends up to Indonesia,” said the minister. Hefei city, said Arief, is one of the most important cities in China’s international relations policy with the term Silk Road. The strip becomes a cultural center to have discussion, share and build principle, strengthen international exchanges and increase diplomacy in a higher and deeper level of regional cooperation.
