The phrase “nandurin karang awak” in the psalmody is so meaningful and has a very profound meaning. Nandurin in Balinese language means planting. In the context of planting, it does not only mean to plant but also to nourish and to nurture, so that the plant can thrive. Planting is not necessarily in paddy fields or moors but also within the self. Implanting within the self is carried out by any kinds of knowledge or all kinds of skill in order to be useful for one’s self and the close relatives.
