The fourth Bulfest 2016 is graced with Joged parade and Legong Tombol dance posing the result of art reconstruction. “We want to discover more profoundly about the diverse potential of Buleleng,” said the Regent of Buleleng, Putu Agus Suradnyana, at the opening of the Bulfest, Tuesday (Aug. 2)
The regent of Buleleng said the Bulfest is implemented based on the idea to explore, identify, develop and preserve the diversity of the potentials owned by Buleleng. In addition, it also means to promote the growing potential in Buleleng. Bulfest has become a national agenda, as evidenced by the attention of the central government, especially the Minister of Tourism. “This year, Bulfest has become a national agenda. Dissemination of the information and publication had spread nationwide,” said the regent.
Buleleng Festival 2016 was officially opened by the Deputy Assistant of Marketing Communications and Tourism Development, Ministry of Tourism, Putu Ngurah, marked with the beating of kulkul. In his speech, Putu Ngurah revealed about the 3A strategy to promote the tourism namely the attractions, accessibility and amenities. “In addition to the attractions, Buleleng also owns the amenity or accommodation. Now, it just needs to deepen the accessibility,” he said.
The man who is also the native to Buleleng added the importance of coordination and promotion. In the promotion, there are 3I namely intensive, innovative and informative. “We must be intensive in promoting the destination and innovative in the development of tourism. After that, we have to provide the information to the coming travelers as widely as possible,” said Putu Ngurah.
On that occasion, the Ministry of Education and Culture, represented by the expert staff on character development, Arie Budiman, presented the certificate of Cultural Heritage Object of the UNESCO for the wayang wong or human puppet of Tejakula. The certificate can become an inspiration for the cultural development of the archipelago in the eyes of the world. “Hopefully, this culture can be preserved sustainably and continue to be a living culture,” he said.
The Head of the Buleleng Culture and Tourism Agency, Nyoman Sutrisna, said that that the implementation of the current Bulfest has involved the hotels through collaboration with the Indonesia Hotel and Restaurant Association (IHRA) of Buleleng. Aside from promoting the event at hotel, it also participated in the culinary exhibition. “The hotels also prepare buggy car to transport Bulfest visitors,” he said. (BTN/015)
