Puri Agung Kerambitan is a seventeenth century palace in Tabanan that is still well preserved and which covers an area of approximately two hectares. Puri Agung Kerambitan is located about six km southwest of the town of Tabanan, in Kerambitan village. The village still has a fertile agricultural area, green paddy fields as well as royal traditions and culture that are still practiced including traditional dances like the Legong, music like tektekan, wood carving, and puppet-themed paintings. A Neolithic temple known as Ulun Desa Temple is also found here. Puri Agung (Gede) Kerambitan was formerly the royal palace of the Kingdom of Tabanan before they built Puri Anyar Kerambitan.
