Visesa Bali permaculture is designed as an invitation to stand back to the basics of life and honoring the Balinese tradition in the real meaning. Back to Nature, learn the nature first hand. Eat food cultivated from the earth upon which you stand, natural healing, share the joy of life with community, connect and smile with local people, as a global-family.

Balinese Permaculture concept” is the development of agriculture ecosystem according to the rules that aim at farming land in complete sustainability and self-sufficiency.  Visesa has dedicated more than two hectares of land to organic culture grown exclusively with natural compost. Species have been inter-planted for controlling pest while advanced waste recycling allows minimal use of inputs and energy. Besides universal permaculture methods, the Balinese traditional calendar that designates auspicious days for planting, ploughing, seeding and harvesting is strictly respected.

The Chief of Desa Visesa, Mr. Edi Suarayasa says “…Our mission to honor the past tradition, by promoting a complete sustainability and self-sufficiency method as tools in the era of change. Together we make a movement of awareness and knowledge of Balinese sustainable farming and agriculture principles that captures the essence of Bali’s living tradition. It is also part of our commitment to the conservation the local Bali permaculture concept”.

Bali Permaculture’ is designed as a regular program at Desa Visesa Ubud from 2 days fun experience to one month full on certified courses. The courses has been created and produced by an internationally acclaimed team from Japan and Indonesia. This combination of luxury resort, rice field and village surrounding and dedicated team promises a unique learning experience in at the Visesa Bali Permaculture village. The Permaculture activities are available every day from 8.30 to 4.30pm for short or long courses at Desa Visesa Ubud
