Various strange and mystical incidents occurred at this temple. However, not all people have the capability of experiencing them. Probably, only ‘selected’ people can experience this spiritual sensation. The Tamba Waras Temple or commonly known as the Tambo Waras holds its pujawali or festival every six months namely on Buda Umanis Perangbakat. At that time, many pilgrims come here to say prayers. Nowadays, they are not only coming from Bali but also from outside Bali.

It is surely meant to invoke safety. There are two types of medicine provided here, one medicine to be drunk and another to be scrubbed at location of the pain. Actually, there are approximately 40 types of medicine made in this temple area. Location of the medicine making is called Bale Asep in the form of kitchen. One of the medicines produced at this temple is juuk linglang.

There is a mythical story accompanying the making of this medicine. It is said that in 2005, when an ngenteg linggih ritual was held, there was an offering maker who encountered a juwuk linglang or tangerine. It was then halved, strangely it exuded fire. This tangerine was then mixed with some elements of fruit, herbs and oils.

Besides, there is a medicine known as manik sekecap made from honey bees. The honey is not taken from anywhere but from the chamber shrine where the bees make their nests. Likewise, there is lungsir pancawarna or multicolored sea snail. People who suffer from diseases of the eye, this medicine can be invoked at the Batu Coblong spring shrine. Another shrine is called swine shrine where people can invoke medicine for their livestock.  (BTN/055)
