Bukit Sari Sangeh attraction is virtually never quite from pre-wedding shoots. This cultural activity in combination with technology is always held every day. On Sunday (Mar. 5), for instance, the pre-wedding shoots were made for 10 couples. “Tomorrow and the next day, there are reservations of photographers to make photo shoots,” said Operations Manager of Sangeh Attraction, I Made Sumohon.
A total of ten couples will bring along their own photographers and makeup artists. They choose the location in accordance with the direction of their photographer. Though all locations can be used as a pre-wedding photo background, the photographers usually choose four places having become favorites. Like making a movie, they also come with director of photography that will direct their poses.
Photographers or directors of photography commonly have prepared the scene in particular composition adjusted to its location. Photographers often wait for the right time to get a silhouette or sunlight penetrating through the trees. “Silhouette view is the most sought after by photographers. There are also photographers taking advantage of large wood and dried leaves under the forest,” said Sumohon.
Sumohon said there are also a pre-wedding photo shoot on the following day. Auspicious day according to Hinduism for Balinese wedding ceremony makes Sangeh crowded with pre-wedding photo shoots. Moreover, Chinese travelers also make Sangeh as regular venue for their photo session.
According to him, there are four places becoming favorites namely the front entrance gates to the woods is commonly used as the background. The gates are unique and old where behind it sits a temple and green forests. Secondly, front side of Bukit Sari Temple is also chosen as having cool atmosphere with temple background accompanied with lush and beautiful forests.
The forest located in the left side of the temple is also good for photo shooting. Other than filled with large trees, the location also looks like a circle and having no small plants. There are only dried leaves of nutmeg tree. “It is said that this area was a graveyard of monkeys. Nevertheless, we never see any monkey’s corpse here,” he explained.
Another interesting location is under the banyan tree in the west forest. There grow two large banyan trees exuding positive aura. “In general, the photographers are very satisfied with the existing locations. The pre-wedding photo shoot is usually charged at IDR 200,000 for sanitation levies,” he concluded. (BTN/015)
