Do you want to try trekking the track of Bindu tourism village? Evidently, the tourism village located at Bindu hamlet, Mekar Buana, Abiansemal, Badung, has more than one trekking route. There are six German travelers having tried this new trekking route. They are married couples consisting of Mr. and Mrs. Mayer, Mr. and Mrs. Muller as well as Mr. and Mrs. Ziegler. The travelers having profession as entrepreneurs and workers really enjoyed the trekking tourist attraction. “The track is really challenging so that we are quite impressed. We will continue to think of this memory until arriving at home,” said Mrs. Brigitte.
They were staying at Perani Pangi Villas at Bindu tourism village. Indeed they are eager to walk around the village. “I’ve visited other villages in Bali, but this Bindu village is the most unique. Beautiful nature is rich in local plants. Local people are friendly and have seriousness in preserving their culture as well as clean environment,” added Mrs. Brigitte.
Atmosphere of Bindu village is also very unique. It was felt when exploring the new route continuously developed by the local tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) as the operator of the trekking tourist attraction. “I’ve tried other trekking villages, but this is the most memorable. Everything is available and complete here, so that I can experience the real Bali at Bindu village,” she said seriously.
During the trip, they encountered various rare plants, fruits, rice crops, corn, garden balsam and marigold that they have never imagined before. Besides, they very much enjoyed traditional bamboo bridge. “We pass over a very unique traditional bridge. It’s afraid but slightly courageous,” said Mr. Ziegler.
On the way, they also found various kinds of animal such as birds, rats, lizards, dragonflies, chickens, dogs and others. They were surprised to see a snake. “At first, I am afraid to see a snake, but it does not matter. We really feel close to the rich environment with its inhabitants and the plants,” said this friendly man.
They were also impressed with the shower formerly used as a bathing place by local people before development of toilet at people’s home. They were happy when crossing the embankment of paddy fields with intriguing grasses and felt magical aura during the procession of melukat or purificatory rite with prayascita offering and wearing tridatu (white, red and black) thread to clean physically and psychically. “I really feel something different because it turns out on my birthday I get a purificatory rite,” said Mr. Andreas.
Before doing the blessing at Tanah Hyang Balinese Healing Center, the six travelers were served with young coconut drink. They had a look at various types of herbal medicinal plants and the process of paddy plants from planting to harvesting. “Really, we finally know about the process of cooking rice from husked rice. Previously, we just hear about it,” he concluded.
After that, they looked around Balinese house applying what the so-called kosala-kosali (Balinese geomancy). They did not only feel comfortable in the house, but also felt different vibrations. Next, they enjoyed Balinese traditional menus, such as lawar, meat with gravy, shredded meat, fried condiment, pepes and others. While enjoying the meals, they were entertained with traditional rindik music. (BTN/015)1 comment
