Are you a foodie? You must try to taste this menu as it is delicious and satisfying. It is the Pork Belly, a favorite menu offered at Pesisi Restaurant of The Alantara Sanur located on Jalan Tirta Ening, Sanur Kauh, Denpasar. Pork Belly uses a special meat derived from the belly. This meat is then smeared with chopped spices, so that it gives the flavor of meat with typical Balinese traditional spices.
This menu has a very strong concept of Balinese because the pork belly is first smeared with basic chopped with a little chili blend. On that account, the spices will really get into the flesh. This method certainly gives the flavor of typical Balinese traditional spice when consumed.
“And what makes different when serving the Pork Belly menu is the accompaniment of Black Rice plus a representative restaurant atmosphere that can create distinctive dining experience,” said Made Semara Wimba, Executive Chef of Pesisi Restaurant at The Alantara Sanur.
Made Semara Wimba said that organic Black Rice is especially planted in the area of Tabanan, Bali. Aside from being good for health as cultivated organically, it is also able to shake the tongue while enjoying it. A portion of Pork Belly is accompanied with Lawar Kacang (string bean) and a little grated coconut. Each portion of Pork Belly is sold for IDR 175,000 which is very affordable to all circles.
Restaurant Manager, Anom Mayun Perean, said that Pesisi Restaurant is quite spacious with a capacity of 70. It offers Balinese and Western menus. Moreover, the combination of Balinese and Western menu offers a taste that makes The Alantara Sanur have an advantage. Other menus include the mixed green salad, seafood satay with chopped spices, yellow fin tartare with raw condiment, chicken in sour coconut milk sauce, tom yum goong, and some others. “We already have tips in the processing of menu, so it can be enjoyed and received by foreign tongue,” he said.
Therefore, explained Anom Mayun Perean, tourists eating at Pesisi Restaurant are not only from The Alantara Sanur, but also from other hotels. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Similarly, it offers various types of beverages. “Meeting room is located near the restaurant, so many guests prefer it just to chat or hang out with family and relatives,” he concluded. (BTN/015)
