Pangi Restaurant serves a variety of menus and drinks. However, the special menu on offer is Bebek Pangi pursuant to the name of the restaurant. Bebek Pangi (literally means duck of football fruit) menu takes advantage of local ingredients and spices. “The cooking process is very special, so it produces soft meat, not fishy, tasty and distinctive,” said Chef Wayan Susana, the maker of this menu.
The preparation takes sufficient time, such as boiling for 4 hours. When boiling, it is filled with spices, including candlenuts, lemongrass, aromatic ginger and clover, onion, garlic, chili and others. Once cooked, it is then served with four condiments namely raw condiment, spicy condiment, colo-colo condiment and football fruit condiment. One serving contains about 600 grams of meat. “Bebek Pangi is suitable for lunch, so the distinctive flavor is more prominent,” said Chef Susana.
If wishing a special menu, just come every Wednesday. Guests can only taste a Mongolian Buffet Dinner. This menu is only served for dinner from 18:00 – 21:00. It is quite unique because guests can see the preparation through live cooking in front of them.
To enjoy this menu, it is commenced by choosing the ingredients to be cooked by a chef that has been ready in the area of live cooking. The ingredients include meat and vegetables having been arranged nicely. The vegetables available include garlic, onions, peppers, mustard greens, green mustard greens, carrots and mushrooms. There are various meatballs, whether chicken, fish or beef meatballs as well as chicken, beef and calamari.
After taking the ingredients, they are then handed over to chef and be cooked with a mixture of chili, oil and soy sauce. After around seven minutes, the menu is cooked. This menu can be served with potatoes, rice, tortillas and bread loaf or bread of hotdogs. “To add flavor, guests can choose five sauces, such as Thai sauce, tomato relish sauce, black pepper sauce, garlic butter sauce and BBQ sauce,” said Executive Secretary & Public Relations of b Hotel Bali & Spa, Christiana Goh.
