Winners of Shrimp Recipe à la Bale UdangThe winner of shrimp recipe contest à la Bale Udang Mang Engking (BUME) Kuta, Bali, was finally announced. The recipe entitled ‘Green Chili Mortar Shrimp’ by Christine Ling could win the first champion. This woman living in Lombok is indeed good at cooking and writing it in the form of recipe. Then, the second and third winner was respectively achieved by Stefanny Lie (Bali) with her flagship recipe entitled “Spiced Shrimp” and Mufti Mohammad Rizki (Jakarta) with the recipe entitled “Tiger Prawn Potato Pure.”

Sales Manager of BUME, Icha L. Christy, said that to determine the winner, the jury panel performed two stages of judging process from the selection of top five winners. “This contest was commenced at the end of last year where the participants sent a shrimp recipe via post or email,” she said. For that achievement, continued Icha, the three winners were entitled to bring home a special gift from BUME. Especially for the recipe of Christine Ling--winning the first position-- would be included as one of the special menus of BUME and could be ordered by visitors until June 2013.

“Therefore, please do not forget if you are traveling on business or vacation to Bali to try it in BUME,” she added. The restaurant managed by Avilla Hospitality has been known as a place to eat with its bamboo pavilion offering a typical and tempting shrimp menus. On that occasion, Christine Ling admitted to be happy with the accomplishments she had achieved. She said the recipe was chosen because it was her favorite. “I’ve visited BUME for three times. I am pleased with the honey grilled shrimp. Honestly, this is due to recommendation of my friends,” she explained. (BTN/015)
