Nova
Terita:
Public Relations Manager of Melia
Bali Villas & Spa Resort
Countenance of this girl with her shoulder-length
hair is indisputably familiar in the eyes
of journalists in charge in Bali. Of course,
that girl is Nova Terita, Public Relations
Manager of Melia Bali Villas & Spa Resort.
Formerly she was the secretary at Sales
Department of Melia Bali. The management
agreed that with her Bachelor Degree in
English and her experience as one of the
broadcasters in a famous radio station in
Bali, these are a good background for her
to move forward and improve her skills in
communication and public relations since
May 2007.
To
her, being deeply involved in hotel industry
is just like being in the ambience of new
family. “I compare the hotel industry
to a community of new family. All people
within this environment work based on the
love philosophy as in a family, all can
feel at home, care about and appreciate
one another, place priority on convenience,
sanitation and magnificence. I think all
people want to work within a comfortable
workplace with family atmosphere,”
she revealed cheerfully.
According to Nova, the profession of Public
Relations is an attractive opportunity and
challenging. “This profession has
made me into a professional individual in
tourism domain. No matter what the tasks
and responsibilities possessed, we could
become the best. Most importantly, we must
love our work,” she added.
Just like loving another person, so Nova
loves her work. When being asked whether
she has felt satisfied with the current
achievement, she vivaciously replied: “Not
yet!” There are many things to be
done in improving the reputation of Melia
Bali both internally and externally. So
many things in the circle of Melia Bali
workplace need revealing and they become
a great project for Public Relations,”
she stated firmly. No less important is
building the Melia Bali reputation to always
position itself to become the best choice
for tourist destination.
Family and friends are those who have played
an important role in the success achieved
by the girl who was born in 1980 of Balinese
and Javanese parents. Joy and grief definitely
become inseparable emotions accompanying
her along her career path. Nevertheless
she finds the enjoyment. “Not all
people have a great opportunity to work
with brilliant partners in tourism industry,
my environment and work related to them
and their narratives. Only few people are
lucky to work making others happy. This
is an enjoyment of its own that I feel here,”
ended this lover of hot foods. (BTN/008)
