Waterfall located at Carat hamlet, Tamblang village, Kubutambahan subdistrict, Buleleng will now be transformed into adventure tourism. The Buleleng Tourism and Culture Agency has drawn up a development program teaming up with local residents.
A villager of Tamblang, Ketut Suparsa, included one of the residents who had a great desire to develop the waterfall into an outdoor tourism adventure.
Aside from taking advantage of the Carat Waterfall area, the development would also be performed by utilizing the open nature such as river and plantation in the area. “As a native to Tamblang village, I just want to improve my area by developing the potential of existing at the Carat Waterfall like this. Hopefully, this idea receives a support from various parties to develop the Tamblang village in harmony with the development of the times,” he said.
The Head of Buleleng Culture and Tourism Agency, Jero Ketut Warkadea, along with the Headman of Tamblang village Nengah Sudarsana stated on Thursday (Jul 19) to agree with the development of waterfall by making it an attraction of outdoor adventure.
In developing it, his party was unnecessary to invite big investors because local residents also had the potential to develop the tourism. “The idea to develop the Carat Waterfall into one of tourist destinations in East Buleleng is in line with the government expectation. As representative of local government, we will strive to realize the idea properly,” said Warkadea.
Headman Sudarsana said that he greatly appreciated the willingness of local residents to develop the pristine waterfall object independently. He hoped that any program developed at Tamblang village could contribute positively to tourism development in Buleleng and have a positive impact on the society of Tamblang village. “Hopefully, the tourism development involving local residents could have a positive impact,” he said.
