Miss World 2013 in Bali

Introduce Balinese culture and hospitality

Miss World 2013 in BaliImplementation of the Miss World 2013 in Indonesia definitely poses an honor. Moreover, the participants from 130 countries will also carry out a number of activities in Bali. Four counties that will become priorities for the implementation of the Miss World in Bali are Badung, Tabanan, Gianyar and Denpasar. Meanwhile, on this island they will be introduced to Balinese culture and hospitality.

The Miss World 2013 activity had been opened in a coordination meeting at the Rupatama Hall of Bali Police, Monday (Aug 26). The meeting was attended by the Chief of Bali Police Arif Wahyunadi, Commander of the IX Udayana Military Command Wisnu Bawa Tenaya and the Committee of Miss World 2013. In the beauty pageant activity, the participants would be in Indonesia for a month.

Police Chief Arief appealed to all communities to support the international activity. He hoped the event could take place smoothly, safely and under control. “Hopefully, everything goes smoothly. If the event can run smoothly and safely, Indonesia will surely be appreciated by the world community. Moreover, the activity is also held in Bali,” he said.

He explained the safeguard of the Miss World 2013 had been prepared. Since the participants were women, then the security guard would be consisting of policewomen and woman army. Safeguards would be in place where the activity and routes took place. By all means, the safeguarding would also involve military and police personnel. “This safeguard system will be corresponding to international standards,” explained the former NTB Police Chief to reporters.

In addition, the Police Chief said the entire event held in Bali should be beneficial for society as a whole. Not only that, it should also comply with the applicable norms in Bali. Meanwhile, the organizers of the Miss World 2013, Liliana Tanu Soedibjo expressed her gratitude for the support extended by police, military and local governments. The Miss World held in Indonesia was to introduce the country to the world.

She added that Indonesia would be able to show it off to the world community. Then, she also explained there would be no session where the participants put on bikini. They would even be introduced to tourist resorts across Indonesia. Later on, the activities would be uploaded via the internet, twitter, websites and broadcast on television simultaneously throughout 130 countries. (BTN/kmb)
