Kamasan Painting

kamasan paintingKamasan village is located in Klungkung County. It is about 43 km from Denpasar. When mentioning the name of Kamasan village, our memory will be led to the image of canvas decorated with puppet characters. Kamasan has already been very identical to traditional classic puppet painting. From generation to generation, the residents of Kamasan remain to get involved in the art inherited from their ancestors.

 
 

Atuh Beach

atuh beachAtuh Beach is tranquilly situated at beautiful bay with natural white sand, while in the left side lies the Juntil Cape and on the right (south) stands the Labuan Ampuak. Then, in the east occur the magnificent Gili Batu Melawang, Gili Batu Pedasan, Gili Batu Abah and Gili Batu Metegen.
At the easternmost tip of Juntil Cape and in the east of Gili Padasan lies a very ideal fishing spot. Meanwhile, in the south of Labuan Ampuak can be found a natural cave becoming the native home to swallows to nest. The land at the Atuh Valley is very fertile and there stand two temples namely the Segara Temple functioned to venerate Lord Varuna whose piodalan or anniversary falls on Sasih Kedasa (tenth month of Balinese calendar). In the inner courtyard of the temple lie two sacred wells containing very clear water.
Access leading to the beach can be taken through two routes, namely Pelilit hamlet (20 km from Buyuk boat quay) then it is connected to unpaved road along about 2 km. Meanwhile, another can be reached through Kelodan hamlet (17 km from Buyuk) and connected to unpaved road along approximately 5 km.

 
 

Nyoman Gunarsa Museum

Nyoman Gunarsa MuseumThis Museum located in band which is strategic enough, Located beside the street in Banda Village, Takmung about 3 Km west of the Town of Semarapura, Klungkung Regency. The Museum built with a Modern Bali architect. This Museum have various classic painting of Bali, either from the past, new and also former epoch result of masterpiece from its owner, I Nyoman Gunarsa. I Nyoman Gunarsa is one of the painter which distinguish for coming from Bali. Most of his masterpiece painting was taken from Bali folklore, and Hindu Dharma legend. Thats make his style of painting different from the other. Its masterpieces taken from artistry of Bali, like folk dance, traditional music, Balinese ceremony, and environmental variety.
