AA Gde Agung: Any Changes Should Be Coordinated with UNESCO

INCLUSION of the Taman Ayun Temple in Mengwi subdistrict into the World Cultural Heritage was not without any consequence. For instance, the local government managing the site could not arbitrarily make any changes because it should first be approved by the UNESCO. This matter was revealed by the Regent of Badung, AA Gde Agung, Sunday (May 27).

Gde Agung explained the next measure after the inclusion of the Taman Ayun into the World Cultural Heritage was that Badung Government should do maintenance and keep the original architecture of the Taman Ayun. His party would not alter the original appearance although some materials belonged to the relatively modern ones.
