Grand Istana Rama Hotel. Offer Daily Balinese Life Attractions
Balinese culture is indeed always alluring. Its uniqueness is undeniable. Therefore, it’s natural if the indigenous wisdom of Balinese Hindu community has always been at the forefront both in promoting or selling products. “Balinese culture is greatly admired by the world community. On that account, the Grand Istana Rama Hotel features more arts and cultural attractions to tourists,” said Dina Indah, Marketing Communications Officer of Grand Istana Rama Hotel, Thursday (Aug 2).
Compared to other hotels in Kuta area, added Dina Indah, the Grand Istana Rama Hotel was indeed different. The hotel having 150 rooms offered unique experiences through various activities as Balinese people did on this island. “We offer some programs such as cooking class, learning Indonesian and Balinese traditional dress photo session. These programs are held every day and free of charge,” she said while smiling proudly.
Visitors who were interested in learning to cook were directly taken to purchase complete ingredients in Kuta Market. After that, participants were taken to choose the ingredients and then cook them. Under guidance of a chef, all participants would do the cooking by themselves. Ultimately, the food cooked would be enjoyed together. “This program is the most favored by tourists, aside from learning to make canang sari or kuangen oblation,” she added.
Meanwhile, presentation of Cak performance was also equally interesting. Such traditional art show was usually staged on the Samudra All Day, a hotel dining venue overlooking the sea. It was held every full moon. While enjoying various food specialties of the hotel, tourists could watch the lively and attractive movement of the cak dancers.
“Honestly, due to the art and culture, the lowest hotel occupancy only reaches 96 percent. It is never lower than such a figure. Even, in this Eid holiday season our rooms have been fully booked,” she concluded. (BTN/015)
