Horse Ridding Attract Tourist in Yeh Gangga Beach

The area of Yeh Gangga Beach in Tabanan is increasingly favored by foreign tourists. It is evident from the rising number of tourist visit to the beach. On average, there is a group of tourist from various countries who enjoy the beach charm every day. Mostly, they go around the beach on horseback.

Such tourist onslaught began to happen within the past few months, especially with the establishment of many villas in the coastal area. “There are always foreign tourists making a visit to this beach. As usual, they take horse riding activity in the morning,” said Made Wita, one of the fishermen at Yeh Gangga.

The tourist visit is quite reasonable because the fascination of Yeh Gangga Beach needs no longer to be doubted. Other than a sloping overlay, the beach also has the famous Batu Bolong area whose fascination resembles the Tanah Lot tourist attraction. Horse riding activity is exploring the local area from the entrance to the west. Unfortunately, the tourist onslaught has not been followed with the maintenance of beach sanitation. Yeh Gangga Beach has always been a regular destination of junk wastes, especially during the rainy season. Unavoidably, the wastes will pile up along the beach.

Aside from coastal area, Yeh Gangga Beach is also taken advantage as a landing base for local fishing boats. By all means, this activity enriches the attraction to foreign guests. They enjoy the activities of fishermen when coming down to sea. Not only foreign visitors, many local tourists also often make a visit to the beach, especially on holidays. These opportunities should be well responded by Tabanan Government in developing new tourist areas. (BTN/kmb)
