It is better known as the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary having a cool atmosphere and beautiful panorama. Thousands of trees of different species are growing flourishingly. Grey monkeys as the dwellers are very cute and playful. They are occasionally hanging on a tree branch. This attraction spreads across an area of 12.5 hectares and is inhabited by 563 long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis). They live at the greenest village. Existence of Singapadu village where the Bali Bird Park (BBP) is located has a lot of potential and uniqueness. Many interesting things can be seen by tourists such as the silversmith, carvers and even the way of life remaining to preserve the Balinese customs. It was revealed by Ngakan Made Agung, Director of Sales & Marketing of the BBP at the Launching of the BBP Cycling Package.
“Cycling package is launched to give more options to tourists coming to the BBP so that they cannot only look at the wildlife and conservation, but also can see the pristine village offering the overlay of magnificent rice fields as well as the environment around the Singapadu village. It will be able to develop more potential for the Singapadu tourism village and contribute more to the public about the presence of cycling in terms of economic point of view,” added Ngakan.
As been known, other than being the first conservation tourist attraction in Bali, the Bali Bird Park has a collection of the biggest and best birds. These animals do not only come from Indonesia, but also from Africa and South America. This educational recreation area spreads across the area of 2.5 hectares with a beautiful landscape. About 2,000 tropical plants including 50 varieties of palm trees become the collection so that they can attract a lot of butterflies and are capable of providing protection to nearly 1,000 birds of 250 different species. It is divided into areas to create a natural bird habitat, completed with plants and traditional artifacts for the authenticity, so that the habitats here will be comfortable.
