48 Works of Made Kaek on Display at the Jimbaran Hub Art Festival

The Covid-19 pandemic has not dampened the activities of artists. They are always intensively exhibiting their works. Since this virus broke out a year ago, the art exhibitions have been held at any time. This time, the artist Made Kaek is organizing a solo exhibition at Jimbaran Hub on Jalan Karang Mas, Jimbaran Village, South Kuta, Badung. The exhibition entitled “The Amorph of Made Kaek” displays a total of 48 works made during the period of 2019 to 2021. The exhibition held in series of the Jimbaran Art Festival takes place on May 8-29.

Through his series of paintings, the founder of Rumah Paros Gallery presents a different side to his inner world or his pre-conscious mind. His works are also a reflection of his solitary and personal self fulfils his everyday personality known to be solitary, sociable, light-hearted, warm and friendly. “This is my fifth solo exhibition. The last exhibition was held in 2017, celebrating half a century of my age. This time, I am presenting the works reflecting the search for and discoveries of stylistic as well as aesthetics from period to period of my paintings,” said Made Kaek on Friday (May 7).

The exhibition entitled The Amorph of Made Kaek is curated by poet and curator Warih Wisatsana. “I appreciate the initiative of the Jimbaran Hub to hold the exhibition in the midst of the pandemic. It is a good effort to maintain the spirit of creativity and creation, especially for the artists,” said Kaek.

Meanwhile, Putu Agung Prianta, one of the founders of the Jimbaran Hub, revealed that the Jimbaran Hub Art Festival or JHUB Artfest is to give new enthusiasm and space in this new era. In addition, it is meant to encourage Balinese, national and international artists who are currently in Bali. Jimbaran Hub is an activity center for creative, innovative and active communities in Bali located in the Jimbaran Green area.

“Hopefully, this activity can provide positive energy for the artists to work, both in music and fine arts, as well as energize the Balinese and international communities in Bali to stay enthusiastic, positive and work continuously,” he affirmed. (BTN/015)
