His name is Adhiguna, but he is familiarly called Adhi. This calm man who has been struggling in the world of tourism for decades is appointed as General Manager (GM) of The Luxe Nomad – Indonesia. Previously, he never thought that he could be trusted to be the GM Corporate Indonesia because not many Indonesian citizens get such an opportunity, and lead more than 40 units of property in Indonesia. “I feel to be honored as being trusted to be the GM of a multinational Luxury Villa Rental company,” he said with a happy face.
To reach the position as GM, it is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. This man with a Diploma in Tourism has started his career from the bottom. Previously, he was a Duty Manager, Guest Relations Manager, Spa Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, Operations Manager, Villa Manager, F and B Manager, Area Operations Manager as well as Operations Manager. His last position before becoming GM was Director of Operations. “I always have a goal in life. My current position is the achievement of my main target, which is to become a GM at the age of 35,” he said kindly.
This member of the Indonesian House Keepers Association (IHKA) of Bali Chapter admitted that to manage The Luxe Nomad–Indonesia which has 43 properties including 4 Villa Complexes (as well as more than 45 properties in Thailand), he will make various innovations. Adhi further added that in March 2020 when Bali tourism was closed, The Luxe Nomad made many changes in strategy and efficiency so as to be able to survive the pandemic. With a strategy that always changes according to market trends, it has managed to survive and even thrive during this pandemic, even it posted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) and positive portfolio growth. “Its keyword, we are dynamic. We analyze market conditions and change strategies quickly so as not to miss the trend,” he added.
