It is wonderful and really alluring. The artworks of various sizes really attract visitors to ARTOTEL Sanur–Bali. Every in-house guest or those who just drink and eat at the hotel located at Jalan Kusuma Sari No. 1, Sanur, South Denpasar, Denpasar City, Bali, will definitely take the time to visit the exhibition. Apart from being beautiful because of the strokes and colors, every work presented also contains a message. The artworks presented are not only painting, but also interesting installation art.
Currently, an artist named Istanbul is exhibiting his works at ARTSPACE ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali. The exhibition entitled ‘Amplifying Mind and Optical Paradox’ takes place from May 20 to August 20, 2022. When this exhibition opens, it is filled with art performances from Teater Kalangan, “Amplifying Mind and Optical Paradox is a title and a theme that combines natural and instinctive thinking which in essence is very strong when accessed optimally,” said General Manager of ARTOTEL Sanur—Bali, Agus Ade Surya Wirawan, on Friday (Jun 3).
Istanbul is an artist from Jakarta. He was not born into a family of artists, but he has imagination and creativity in making art. Istanbul who completed his studies at The London School of Public Relations Jakarta expressed his creativity in music, fashion and in 2011, and then he started painting but never exhibited his works to the public. “For the first time, Istanbul is holding a solo exhibition at ARTOTEL Sanur,” he said.
In this solo exhibition, Istanbul presents a visual analogy in the form of a paradox, the absurd, and the mysterious, penetrating the space between the basic nature of human instincts and social values that represent the life phase of the painter himself. “It is an honor for ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali to be able to work together again with artists from Jakarta. We hope that the Amplifying Mind and Optical Paradox art exhibition can be enjoyed by lovers of Indonesian contemporary arts in Bali and especially the in-house guests of ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali,” said Agus Ade Surya Wirawan.
