On April 24th, 2023, the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa released 95 baby turtles from their hatchery into the ocean. The hotel takes its role in protecting the sea turtles seriously, starting with carefully relocating the turtle eggs after they’re laid to ensure they can incubate naturally. Once the baby turtles hatch in a secured location, they are safely released back into their natural environment.
The turtle release event was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for both guests and staff, who gathered on the resort’s beach to witness the baby turtles make their way to the ocean. The emotions were palpable, and Mr. Pierrick Gautier, General Manager at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa invited some guests and Mr. I Gusti Ngurah Ardita, General Manager The Nusa Dua, to participate in this meaningful conservation activity.
At Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa, every staff member plays a vital role in protecting the sea turtles as they lay their eggs on the beach. The hotel also takes the opportunity to educate its guests on the life cycle of these endangered marine creatures and their role in preserving them.
Since 2013, the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa has released more than 2,600 baby turtles into their natural habitat on the shores of Nusa Dua. By continuing these conservation efforts, the hotel hopes to inspire others to join them in protecting the world’s marine life for generations to come. (BTN/r)
