The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, received the arrival of the Association of National Olympic Committee (ANOC) on Tuesday (Jul 12), at Gajah Building Jayasabha, Denpasar. During the meeting, the Executive of the Indonesian Olympic Committee, Rafiq Hakim Radinal, conveyed information to the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, that the Island of the Gods was chosen to host the ANOC World Beach Games Bali 2023 by competing in 10 sports participated by 1,200 athletes from 100 countries. It will take place on August 5–12, 2023.

For the selection of Bali as the host of the ANOC World Beach Games Bali 2023, the Governor of Bali, directly expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Executive of the Indonesian Olympic Committee and the organizing committee for trusting Bali as the host of the international class sport.

“I am ready to support the ANOC World Beach Games Bali 2023, this is part of an effort to spur sports achievements of Indonesia, especially sports in Bali, as well as efforts to restore Bali’s economy and tourism after being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic,” said a former Member of the Indonesian Parliament for three periods from the PDI-P Faction who was noted to have completed Law No. 3/2005 concerning the Sports System. Such national event was immediately greeted enthusiastically by the ANOC World Beach Games Bali 2023 committee by declaring Bali is good. (BTN/014)
