Belmond Jimbaran Puri Bali Hotel remains optimistic and excited amidst the pandemic. On Friday (Oct. 30), it hosted the blood donation taking place at Tunjung Restaurant. The blood donation is an activity routinely carried out every six months. “This time, Belmond Jimbaran Puri Bali is collaborating with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Bali,” said Assistant Health Safety & Environment Manager, Putu Kusuma, on the sidelines of the social action.
The blood donation activity is a form of social solidarity of the Belmond Jimbaran Puri team towards others. It is expected to provide benefits and help for those in need and help donors maintain their health, both physically and psychologically. “A total of 30 participants attended alternately in an effort to avoid excess crowds. It considers that Belmond Jimbaran Puri strictly applies health protocols, especially physical distancing,” he said.
Donor participants are strictly selected. Prior to donating blood, donors have their health checked as part of the donor’s requirements, be it HB levels, blood pressure or other health conditions. All the participants who were already wearing masks started their activities by washing their hands and then sanitizing their hands as well as checking their body temperature. “We do implement health protocols according to the requirements of the implementation of the new era, new normal life order,” he affirmed.
Belmond Jimbaran Puri Bali hotel regularly participates in organizing blood donations. Recently, it participated in a blood donation program organized by members of the All Indonesian Workers’ Union (SPSI) in the framework of the 25th Anniversary of the SPSI. The activity was held at the SPSI Denpasar office on Jalan Gurita, Sesetan, Denpasar-Bali. (BTN/015)
