Tasty menu and peaceful atmosphere are two impressions when you attend and enjoy various menus served by local residents at Best Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud. The culinary event packaged in the Sunday Night Market features various types of special menus served by residents around the hotel. “This is a form of Best Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud’s concern for the community and the environment. This hotel has always been a forum for organizing events for the Ubud community,” said Marketing Communication Coordinator, Mia Ayu Soekotjo Putri, on Wednesday (Nov. 18).
The dining atmosphere is very calm and the natural air is cool, making these menus even tastier. The event did not only make other people happy, but also made local women happy because amid the Covid-19 pandemic, residents who are laid off from their work or do not have a job, now have a busy life that brings economic results. “This event can support local community, create job opportunities for them and help them find superior products, especially herbal plants,” she said.
This activity is a preparation for qualified Human Resources to create independent businesses. If this pandemic is over, they will be able to develop the business they have been doing under the guidance of this community. “Previously, Best Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud has held a donation event. Now, the Ubud Night Market is a collaboration between the hotel and the Ubud community having held several joint activities. The activity is always successful and always has a positive impact between the organizer and the hotel,” she added.
Ubud Night Market occupies all areas of the hotel for free. Visitors can hunt for traditional foods, organic vegetables, second hand products, home decorations, accessories, and natural care products. “Another option is also available, where only by paying IDR 50,000 visitors will get an extra benefit, namely swimming with beautiful natural scenery while listening to acoustic music,” she said.
Through this activity, Mia hoped to support the surrounding community and inform the local community about the existence of Best Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud. During the event, the hotel and the committee supervised the proceedings with Health Protocols in accordance with government recommendations.
“Visitors must wear a mask, wash their hands and check the body temperature before entering the activity area. Likewise, those getting involved in this activity must use personal protective equipment such as face shields and hand gloves,” concluded the girl excitedly. (BTN/015)
