Burgreens, the pioneer of the largest plant-based healthy restaurant chain in Indonesia with 16 branches, and Green Rebel – the first food technology startup in Indonesia that produces plant-based meats and cheeses are now present in Bali.
This pioneering work of the nation’s generation was founded by Max Mandias and Helga Angelina–a couple activist who practice healthy and eco-friendly eating patterns in Indonesia. Burgreens has a ‘Plant-based Paradise’ concept that provides a variety of delicious dishes from Asia (Indonesian, Korean and Japanese specialties), Western (various kinds of Burger, Steak, Pasta, Salad & Wraps), Vegan Boba, and various Gluten-free Desserts.
Burgreens’ signature dishes include Vegan Rendang Platter, Mighty Mushroom Burger, Japanese Katsu Curry, Taichan and Maranggi Satay to Vegan Boba. Burgreens launched a special menu that will only be available at Burgreens Canggu, Plant-Based Balinese Mixed Rice; complete with twisted satay, A’yum raw condiment, long bean plecing, stir-fried corn beans, and tempeh tofu with balado sauce.
Apart from being 100 percent plant-based, every menu at Burgreens and Green Rebel products is made from organic and natural ingredients – of which more than 50 percent are purchased directly from Indonesian farmers at fair trade prices. Every dish and drink available is made without MSG, without white sugar, without palm oil, and has a balanced nutritional value. It has simple goal where people wishing to eat healthier can do so without sacrificing taste pleasure.
Located on Jalan Batu Mejan Beach, Canggu, with a relaxing tropical Balinese atmosphere, the newest Burgreens restaurant branch also has a bohemian chic themed design with a relaxed outdoor atmosphere and beautiful rice field views. The furniture used at the outlet is the work of local craftsmen and recycled plastic materials which are equivalent to 500 kg of plastic bottles. (BTN/014)
