Come on Vacation … Check Tour Packages at BBTF 2022

Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) 2022, one of the most prominent international travel and tourism exhibitions in Indonesia, was attended by 181 sellers from 13 provinces and attended by 273 buyers from 30 countries. The BBTF itself was opened by the Deputy for Tourism Products and Activities Organizers of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Rizki Handayani Mustafa, at the Bali International Convention Center, in The Nusa Dua area on Thursday (Jun 16), and lasted until June 17. A total of 30 buyer countries were present such as Australia, India, France, the Philippines, United Kingdom, Emirates, Germany, the United States, China, Asia and Nigeria as the newest participants.

Meanwhile, the ITDC Business Development Director, Ema Widiastuti, stated that the event is a very positive activity to promote Bali in the eyes of the international community. “Again, we can support the BBTF event in its eighth year of implementation. For us, the BBTF and ITDC are a tradition of collaboration between tourism industry players as a strategic measure to encourage the movement of domestic and global tourists in utilizing quality and sustainable destinations, facilities and services,” she said.

This time, the BBTF with the theme “Balancing in Harmony” is expected to be a communication and bridge effort between the tourism industry players in order to revive the post-pandemic tourism economy and the promotion chain of destinations and sustainable tourism products. ITDC itself is also participating as a seller in this year’s BBTF by promoting products and services from the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) and Xplorin as a business unit of the ITDC Group.

MGPA is an ITDC business unit that has its main business as a promoter of world class MotoGP and World Superbike (WSBK) racing events as well as managing and operating the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit for organizing world-class racing and entertainment events. Meanwhile, Xplorin is an ITDC business unit that focuses on the business of travel management and ticketing systems based on digital platforms and activation enablers.

In this BBTF, MGPA promoted various events held at Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, while Xplorin as master of inventory ticketing at Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit promoted ticket sales and travel management partnerships for various corporations. “At BBTF 2022, ITDC held meetings with buyers both face-to-face and virtual, including with travel agents, associations, hotels and tourism stakeholders to market our business unit’s products and services as well as provide comprehensive information regarding regional development and events that will take place in the area we manage,” she said.

Through this participation, Ema hoped that the products and assets, especially in the development and marketing of sustainable tourism packages, can be increasingly recognized by the national and international markets. BBTF was initiated by the Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) of Bali Chapter since 2014, and has consistently received support from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, where this year presented five Super Priority Tourist Destinations (DPSP), namely Lake Toba, Mandalika, Borobudur, Likupang, and Labuan Bajo.
