The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, held a ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the Bangli Town Square or Captain Muditha Bangli Square on Thursday (Jun 24). Accompanied by the Regent of Bangli, Sang Nyoman Sedana Arta, Deputy Regent of Bangli, I Wayan Diar, and Chairman of the Bangli House of Representatives, I Ketut Suastika, in his speech the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, appreciated the quick steps taken by the Regent of Bangli.
Similarly, Wayan Koster also stated that what he does is very good by starting to build Bangli in order to look beautiful and provide a sense of comfort for the community. “Bangli District is a cultural area. It has cultural heritages and strong traditions from ancient Bali. There are Mount Batur and Lake Batur. There is also an old village along with strong traditions. So, when comparing in the world, there is nothing like this,” explained Governor Koster.
In developing the region, Governor Koster invited all levels of society to have a spirit of mutual cooperation. “As a Bangli resident, we must be proud to see Bangli progressing. As a Bangli resident, we must also feel responsible for building Bangli together. Let’s show off our ability, expertise, competence, dedication and show off our loyalty to all of us to build a better Bali,” said Koster.
Before ending his speech, the Governor of Bali during his working visit stated that Bangli District has a cool and cold nature. So, it is very suitable to be used as an educational and sports activity. He said that they are preparing a sport program to be directed to Bangli, so that Bangli really has a new center that becomes an icon of the Island of Bali. “I’m planning to build a stadium in Bangli. I have already discussed with the Central Government, so please be patient,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Bangli, Sang Nyoman Sedana Arta, in front of the Governor of Bali reported that the town square construction being carried out now is designed by local designer of Bangli. Based on the construction data, the arrangement of Bangli Town Square or Captain Muditha Bangli Square is recorded to have an area of 22,430 square meters with a project value of IDR 21,095,475,000 and implementation time of 180 days. The square arrangement consists of 10 segments, namely the road in the north of the field, holy place and volleyball court, basketball and tennis courts, food court, skateboard, north stage, red hibiscus, playground, entry gate, elderly therapy, and lactation.
