The tourist destination having developed since 2015 is located on Jalan Sahadewa, Banjar Wangbung, Guwang Village, Sukawati subdistrict, Gianyar. The location is strategic, about 13 km from Denpasar City. The destination relying on nature is managed independently with very simple facilities. “Now, Hidden Canyon of Beji Guwang is managed by Wisnu Prabawa Village Enterprise of Guwang Village, with a tourism business unit called Hidden Canyon of Beji Guwang,” said Manager, I Nyoman Ariawan Mastina, on Thursday (Jun 24).

With the new management system, the existing facilities are very complete, clean and good according to standards. This is to create a sense of security and comfort for tourism activities. For security, don’t be afraid because every visitor who travels in Hidden Canyon will be accompanied by a tour guide starting from passing rivers, cliffs, and rice fields along 3.5 km for trekking routes. “Currently, the ticket price for Hidden Canyon is uniform at IDR 100,000/person for domestic guests, children, adults, and foreign tourists. The ticket price having been valid since March 10, 2021 includes tour guides, towel, locker, mineral water as well as tax and services,” he said.

As a nature tourism, Hidden Canyon is suitable for challenge lovers because during trekking, visitors are invited to go up and down cliffs, soak along the river, until they arrive at resting points. “We have three resting points, namely Canyon 1, Canyon 2, and Canyon 3. Each of these resting points offer beautiful cliff views. Well, here visitors can take pictures in Canyon 1 because it is cool, and the best place,” he added.

Currently, his party will continuously develop Hidden Canyon by building a tourist park and restaurant with a total area of ​​4,000 square meters. If all goes well, this restaurant is targeted for completion in October 2021. This is purely to drive the village economy. “All the handymen working on the tourism recreational park and restaurant are local villagers of Guwang. Hopefully, this will be able to attract a number of visitors, so that we can survive and even continuously grow,” concluded Mastina. (BTN/015)
