Something has changed in Nusa Dua. Inaya Putri Bali, a five-star hotel belonging to the state-owned enterprises, officially transformed into Merusaka Nusa Dua. This transformation event was also carried out simultaneously in two other areas, namely in Parapat and Padang, where two other hotels, namely the Inna Parapat and Grand Inna Padang have been simultaneously inaugurated to transform into Khas Parapat and Truntum Padang, on Thursday (Apr 8). This is in line with the SOE hotel consolidation program launched by Minister of State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) Erick Thohir.
The name Merusaka itself is inspired by the Hindu belief in Bali, where Merusaka symbolizes ‘the first Nirvana’, a magnificent and monumental dream destination by elevating the charm and charisma of Balinese culture.
Located in the exclusive complex of the Nusa Dua area, Merusaka has direct access to a white sandy beach posing one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island of Bali. The hotel architecture is inspired by Balinese culture, especially the Seven Balinese Goddesses and Penglipuran village. From the rooms to the lobby designed in a traditional Balinese rice barn, Merusaka combines local arts and culture to bring out the charm of Balinese customs in all its elements.
Qodie Ibrahim, President Director of the Hotel Indonesia Group, stated that he is very excited about the launch of the transformation of the three hotel brands. He hoped the launch of the hotel brand will lead to a more positive direction and strengthen competitiveness in the hotel industry. “Our hotel brand prioritizes services with typical Indonesian hospitality and displays a variety of local wisdom in combination with international standards that indulge the five senses so as to provide a different experience for guests,” added Qodie.
Meanwhile, I Made Merta, General Manager of Merusaka Nusa Dua, stated that it is an important moment for the hotel. Hotel Inaya Putri Bali itself has a long history until it is now transformed into Merusaka Nusa Dua. The history began in 1983 when the pioneer Merusaka Nusa Dua was built under the name of Hotel Bali Nusa Dua. Over time, in 2012, the hotel was bulldozed to be rebuilt with a new concept,” he said.
