Jejaton Restaurant, Ranked First in Kuta Area by TripAdvisor

Jejaton Restaurant located at the Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta is the choice of tourists to welcome Christmas and New Year by enjoying a variety of menu choices. Jejaton which is ranked first of 862 restaurants in Kuta according to TripAdvisor until mid-January 2021 presents Angkringan (Street Food) with various menus, including meatballs, murtabak, satay, Jinggo rice, chicken noodles, grilled rice, fresh snacks, chicken betutu, grilled corn, grilled ribs, grilled shrimp, grilled fish, fresh vegetables and tempong rice. “We are happy because 100 percent of the menus are sold out, all of them are very popular because they match the local appetite,” said F&B Manager, Gede Samiada (Sam), on Monday (Jan 24).

The concept of street food is designed according to government policies to reduce crowds, and limit activities that involve many people. On that account, the ordered menus are brought out in order to be able to adjust the distance in accordance with the health protocol. “Jejaton Restaurant has also been splashed by tourist visits. However, it’s still less than we expected. In the fourth quarter, tourist visits did increase, but not significantly. They are mostly repeat guests. The increasing trend began to appear at the end of October 2021, but only until November because in December there was a slight decline,” he admitted.

The Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road started to open in November 2019, but in March 2020 the pandemic hit. Through struggles, this hotel is still able to survive to run its operations up to these days. Ahead of the last Christmas and New Year holiday, Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road became the choice of tourists to spend their holidays in Bali. “Revenue for the fourth quarter has increased, but in December it did not match expectations. Maybe it happens because many hotels have opened, and almost all hotels in Bali also targeted domestic tourists,” he admitted.

Sam admitted that during the moment of Christmas and New Year, not all hotels were able to attract tourist visits, including the Fairfield by Marriott Hotel. Possibly it is because the location of the hotel is not in a destination, such as near the beach or Ubud which is close to rice fields. Most group guests only chose this hotel as a place to rest from their tour activities. “The existence of restrictions on last Christmas and New Year had its own advantages as well. If there were no restrictions or prohibitions, probably the staying guests will leave the hotel to enjoy their New Year celebrations, such as to a more crowded venues,” he affirmed.

Regarding the description of the visit after recent New Year, he admitted to remain optimistic. “We hope that the government can increase visits by focusing on being open to foreign tourists. Of course, it is by following the health protocols strictly, speeding up vaccinations and simplifying flight or travel regulations. If possible, reduce the quarantine period from local or foreign tourists who have been fully vaccinated and passed the PCR test,” added Sam.

The Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road is located on Jalan Merdeka Raya Gang VII, Kuta, Badung. The location is very strategic, only about 1.7 km from Kuta Beach, about 2.1 km from Legian Beach, about 2.6 km from Tuban Beach and about 5 km from Ngurah Rai International Airport. The hotel features a restaurant, bar, outdoor pool and fitness center. The hotel also provides room services, a business center, and free Wi-Fi internet access in all areas. (BTN/015)
