This drinking and eating place located on Jalan Segara Madu, Kelan Beach, Kedonganan village, Kuta, Badung, is indeed different from other clubs. In addition to serving various food menus and types of drinks, Konderatu is also a center for art events because it is often taken advantage as a venue to display painting works or other fine arts. The owner, Herlinda Siahaan, stated that Konderatu Beach Club has held the Timeless Indonesia Festival three times which showcases the richness of art, culture and history of Indonesia with the king, sultans of the archipelago because kingdoms, sultanates, and royal palace are the origins of the history and culture of Indonesia. This club is also a place to demonstrate trendy fashion with a touch of Indonesian ethnic as well as serving a variety of traditional culinary with the best taste. “Konderatu Beach Club & Art Gallery is a venue to preserve Indonesian wealth,” she said.

In the afternoon, the sunset on Kelan Beach becomes the background for airplanes taking off and landing. Konderatu is open every day from 09:00 to 21:00 local time and offering delicious menus, including chicken wings, meatballs, fried rice, chicken noodles and an affordable bar menu. Meanwhile, the drinks offered include soft drinks, beer and herbal coffee at tourist and local prices. “It used to serve international standard menus, but during this pandemic, we collaborated with Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in order to be able to present affordable food menus for the local community,” said this artist.

During this pandemic, Konderatu Beach Club remains open following the new era of life order (new normal) by strictly implementing health protocols. For supporting facilities, the hotel has prepared a place to wash hands, hand sanitizers and been adjusting the distance as the application of social distancing. “Now, with the existence of a circular from the government to Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM), all the health protocols can be improved,” she concluded.
