Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort has added a new exciting and unique dining venue, namely Tanah Liat (meaning ‘clay’), to the list of culinary outlets. During the day, Tanah Liat is used as a venue for cooking classes. In the evening, Tanah Liat transforms into an art-and-craft-inspired restaurant focused on experiential food featuring fresh, seasonally sourced Balinese seafood and plant-based cuisine.
The plant-based diet, which has recently become one of today’s biggest food and health trends, is an aspiration for a healthier lifestyle. Located on the ground floor, next to the Backstage Food Theater, this uniquely designed restaurant is predominantly white to add a fun and bright vibe to the space. Artful sensory pottery designs are tastefully decorated throughout this earthy and natural eatery.
Inspired by Balinese art and craft, the atmosphere of Tanah Liat creates a true local heritage feel. The separate outdoor area as well as the pottery atelier are special and distinctive features that add a unique experience to its guests. “Watch the chef who is picking the ingredients from the garden in front of Tanah Liat and using them to prepare your food,” said Director of Marketing Communications of Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort, Dewi Karmawan, on Monday (Jan 2).
Tanah Liat features 200 seats including indoor and outdoor dining and workshop areas. It opens daily from 18:00 to 22:30 Local Time. “Later on, Tanah Liat will offer a pottery-making class in the afternoon,” added Dewi Karmawan. (BTN/015)
