Priority Paddle Festival 2022, I Ketut Yuliarta Wins Stand Up Paddle Surfing

Priority Paddle Fest 2022 taking place on Kelan Beach on May 7-8, 2022, was a very positive moment, especially for the white sandy beach. Apart from having run successfully, the event that only involved local people was able to promote Kelan Beach, so that it is better known by wider community. Just imagine, the festival participants came from various regions and it was witnessed by domestic and foreign tourists who directly introduced the beauty of Kelan Beach.

Priority Paddle Fest 2022 was organized by Priority Stand-Up Paddle Bali in collaboration with the Kelan Bali Customary Village aiming to promote stand up paddle (SUP) sports in Bali and Kelan Beach as a tourist destination. The standup paddle surfing and standup paddle fun race activities were attended by a total of 25 local participants. “It is the first event. Hopefully, there will be a Priority Paddle Fest with participants from outside the region and even overseas,” hoped Ben, as the organizer of Priority Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) Bali, on the sidelines of the event.

The Priority Paddle Fest event was also enlivened with yoga activities, namely aerial yoga, acro yoga as well as stand up paddle yoga. Participants performed yoga on a stand-up paddle board. Visitors who attended did not only watch the event but also enjoyed the food and beverage bazaar. Meanwhile, children participated in coloring activities as well as collecting donations of used clothes, and it was enlivened with stand-up paddles by Putri Ombak.

Prize awarding took place on Sunday afternoon (May 8) before sunset. All participants and visitors seemed to be enlivening the prize awarding and the closing of the Priority Paddle Fest 2022. “Hopefully, this activity can help promote Bali, and increase tourist visits through stand up paddle competitions and the public can get to know the beauty of Kelan Beach which is only a few minutes away from Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport,” said Ben.
