There are 20 traditional houses lined up. Each of which has a barrier in the form of a fence made of natural bamboo. The roof is in the form of a tile, where the rooms are equipped with air conditioning but without television. “We do not provide TV in every room because the concept is minimizing tourists from watching TV. That’s because we want the tourists to explore Jembrana. They just sleep here, but for a walk I invite them to see the Jembrana area that is why TV are only installed at restaurant,” said the man who is also a businessman.

Every in-house guest is invited to take out and explore Jembrana by visiting areas from the east end to the west end of Jembrana or according to their choice. They are introduced to the nature and culture of Jembrana. Aside from seeing and being given in-depth information, guests initially wishing to stay for a day can turn into a week. That’s because they are very happy and feel good when living in Jembrana. “I take them for walks by introducing the beaches, mountains, rivers, forests and Jembrana culture that made them feel at home,” he said.

Each house of the Segara Urip Homestay has one room. In terms room type, it has Deluxe and Family Room where the later can be added to kitchen and its room can get additional bed. Your meals are prepared at restaurant with traditional Jembrana specialties, such as moringa and gooseweed vegetable. “I often tell guests, if you travel and come here, you must taste our special menus,” he said.

In-house guests really like the beauty of the beach because it is fantastic. The culture of local community features fishing activities using traditional boat or jukung, ceremonial activities and buffalo racing activities on the black sandy beach. This beach is a place for jockeys to train their buffalo before heading to the prestigious event in Jembrana. From this beach, you can also watch sunrise and sunset, which are sometimes colored by flashes of birds against the sky. “At the end of the sea, you will look the very beautiful Suloko Island.
