The Sanur Village Festival (SVF) or Sanfest will be held in August 2022, starting with the Surya Sewana Road to Sanfest activity. The Surya Sewana Road to Sanfest 2022, serving as a warm-up for SVF or Sanfest 2022, was organized at the Open Gardens of Griya Santrian Resort Sanur on July 1-3, 2022.
Chairperson of Sanfest 2022, Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra, stated that SVF or Sanfest, which was suspended for two years in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, would be held again on August 17-21, 2022. “Road to Sanfest 2022 carries the theme Surya Sewana as an expression of gratitude for the return of the pulse of tourism life in Bali and the return of creative activities of the community,” he said on Wednesday (Jun 29).
According to Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra, who is familiarly addressed as Gusde, that afternoon would be inaugurated the painting exhibition entitled Glowing Light at the Griya Santrian Gallery. The exhibition opens from June 29, 2022 and lasts for two months. In addition, there are two events becoming the part of Sanfest for automotive and running sports hobbyists, namely the Sanur Motor Show on Mertasari Beach on July 8-10, 2022 and the Night Light Fun Run on August 6, 2022.
As with the SVF or Sanfest, the programs presented at Surya Sewana included music, cultural performances, culinary bazaars, fashion shows, sunrise yoga, creative art, talk shows and art exhibitions. “Surya Sewana Road to Sanfest 2022 is expected to be able to treat the longing of visitors who had stopped for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic while waiting for the peak event of Sanfest in August 2022,” said Gusde.
Rows of supporters who were ready to enliven the Surya Sewana include Balawan, Sandhy Sondoro, Pongki Barata, Crazy Horse, Allien Child, Bali Bosa Band, Astera, Sound of Mirror, Jampiro Band, Gus Agung Gotama, Soulfood, and other performers. According to Gusde, to interpret the spirit of Surya Sewana, which is a ritual to welcome the morning sun in chanting prayers and mantras, the big family of Seger Oger yoga asanas scheduled to hold mass yoga on the shores of Griya Santrian Resort Beach on July 3, 2022.
At least 500 yoga participants participated in interpreting Surya Sewana through the asanas of Surya namaskara movement on the beach. After yoga in the morning, visitors can enjoy various fun events with the nuances of the Surya Sewana Sunday Market at the main venue of the Griya Santrian Resort Open Garden.
Various activities of children’s games, culinary delights, fresh vegetables and fruits, flowers, and various entertainment pampered visitors while enjoying the morning of Sanur Beach. “Surya Sewana Road to Sanfest 2022 is an encouragement for the SVF component to reinstall and bind the spirit again to hold the SVF grand celebration in August 2022. Gusde further added that visitors to the Surya Sewana Road to Sanfest 2022 are charged an entrance ticket to control the capacity of the venue as well as the social distancing factor, even though the government has provided leniency.
