The Bali Tourism Office launched the Bali Calendar of Events 2023 along with the inauguration of the Bali Tourism Media Center at the office of Bali Tourism Office, some time ago. The events in Bali have been collected that resulted in totally 66 events consisting of 51 cultural events, 13 special interest/sport events and 2 MICE events. Of these events, the Tanah Lot Art & Culture Festival is included, and will be held on August 18-20, 2023. This Bali Calendar of Events is to provide information as well as reference regarding the events to be held in Bali throughout 2023.
Assistant Manager of Tanah Lot Tourist Attraction, I Putu Toni Wirawan, admitted that he had not received any information about this. If that is true, he admitted that he is very happy, so that it can be known by the wider community, and even domestic and foreign tourists. “We, the operator of the Tanah Lot tourist attraction, have submitted existing cultural events to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Now, it has been included in the Bali Tourism Office’s Calendar of Events, it is good, too,” he said while smiling proudly.
Jero Putu Toni emphasized that if the Tanah Lot Art & Culture Festival event is approved, then the management is ready to carry out the event according to the proposal previously submitted. For 2023, the Tanah Lot Art & Culture Festival is entering its fourth year. “In recent years, the Tanah Lot Art & Culture Festival has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, so this cultural festival was then stopped. Now, during this easing period, the annual cultural event will be held again,” he said.
In the proposal previously submitted, the fourth Tanah Lot Art & Culture Festival will have the theme Mahabharata. The art materials to be presented are more performing arts, such as bleganjur, rindik, and traditional dances, both classical and creative ones. Besides, it also features Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) players to support small businesses at Tanah Lot. “We will take local wisdom, especially those at Beraban Village to be featured in the event. We prioritize local wisdom, after that we will only involve supporters in Tabanan District,” he concluded. (BTN/015)
