Tanah Lot Included in Covid-Free Corridors

Are you desperate to make a visit to Tanah Lot tourist attraction? Now, it is time to go. The tourist attraction located at Beraban village, Kediri, Tabanan, has been included in the Covid-free corridor. “Tanah Lot has long been prepared as a green tourism zone in Tabanan District. Now, it has been approved by the Bali Provincial Government as a tourist destination included in the Covid-Free Corridor,” said Regent Sanjaya, recently.

In order to support the Covid-Free Corridor, the Tabanan Government in time will target simultaneous vaccination of residents living in the green zone village. “The green zone vaccination for the residents has indeed been approved by the governor. We do vaccination between Galungan and Kuningan holidays. Our vaccination target is scheduled to complete within 3 to 5 days,” said Regent of Tabanan, I Komang Gede Sanjaya.

People in the area receive priority for vaccination because it is related to the trust of tourists. “If Tanah Lot is green, tourists can take a vacation. So, they do not only visit Legian Kuta, Nusa Dua, Sanur and Ubud. This means that by opening tourist objects, locally-generated revenue (PAD) can increase,” said Regent Sanjaya.

In this area, his government is targeting about 6,000 people requiring the Covid-19 vaccination, so that there are around 12,000 doses of vaccine that must be prepared. On that account, his party will involve all elements of the regional agencies in Tabanan. Thus, more vigorous vaccination can be carried out at the hamlet levels in the green zone.

Later on, the mutual work vaccination pattern will be divided. For example, which team will be in charge of hamlet A, which team will be at hamlet B. “So, the vaccination will still be carried out by health workers but with the help of regional agency officers, ranging from data collection to screening,” he said.

The vaccination effort is carried out to reduce Tabanan to become a green zone for Covid-19 transmission. Now, Tabanan has the status of the orange zone, it will turn green soon,” concluded Regent Sanjaya. (BTN/015)
