Foreign tourists have been widely found in many tourist attractions in Bali. It means that they still believe in the Island of the Gods as a lovely tourist destination. This makes tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants and other tourism businesses gradually develops because they are visited by tourists. “Along with the relaxation of flight requirements and additional routes, our room occupancy has also increased significantly. All of them have a great impact on the occupancy of The Artini Dijiwa Ubud,” said Sales & Marketing Coordinator of The Artini Dijiwa Ubud, Megayanti, in Ubud on Wednesday (Aug 24).
The significant increase in occupancy has been seen since the past two months. However, the occupancy of The Artini Dijiwa Ubud is dominated by group guests whose bookings have come from a long time ago, even including next year’s occupancy. “The increase in hotel occupancy has indeed occurred, and it is very proud for us in the tourism industry after almost two years of being silenced by the Covid-19 pandemic. Hotel occupancy for July reached 85 percent, and August reached 92 percent, while the figure for September is 78 percent and October has been recorded at 75 percent,” explained Megayanti.
Although hotel occupancy is dominated by foreign tourists, domestic guests also exist. However, their number is much less than during the pandemic or before the opening of international borders. On that account, currently foreign tourists still dominate because they choose this hotel as their preferred place to stay. It happens because the location of the hotel sits in central Ubud and is close to various tourist attractions in Ubud. “Our guests spend more time walking outside, but there are also some guests who choose to stay at hotel and relax in the swimming pool,” she added.
The swimming pool is indeed one of the facilities that attracts tourists while staying at this hotel. The spacious swimming pool and garden area as well as a very strategic location in the middle of Ubud are able to make them linger at hotel. The room rates offered are very affordable, but the facilities on offer are not inferior to other hotels in the vicinity which are more expensive. “With normal rates, guests already get room benefits including breakfast for 2 people. We provide a 10-percent discount for solo travelers or those who choose to travel and stay alone,” she explained.
Location of The Artini Dijiwa Ubud is very strategic in the middle of Ubud, precisely on Jalan Raya Pengosekan Ubud, Ubud Subdistrict, Gianyar. From Ngurah Rai Airport, it is about 37 kilometers or about 62 minutes’ drive by car. From this hotel, you can visit destinations nearby such as the Saraswati Temple, Ubud Monkey Forest, Tegallalang Rice Terrace and Goa Gajah Temple. (BTN/015)
