The significant increase in occupancy has been seen since the past two months. Hotel occupancy for July reached 85 percent, and August reached 92 percent, while the figure for September is 78 percent and October has been recorded at 75 percent,” explained Megayanti.

Although hotel occupancy is dominated by foreign tourists, domestic guests also exist. However, their number is much less than during the pandemic or before the opening of international borders. On that account, currently foreign tourists still dominate because they choose this hotel as their preferred place to stay. It happens because the location of the hotel sits in central Ubud and is close to various tourist attractions in Ubud. “Our guests spend more time walking outside, but there are also some guests who choose to stay at hotel and relax in the swimming pool,” she added.
