Caring for others is an important program for The Haven Bali Seminyak. Therefore, together with all employees of The Haven Bali Seminyak, they collected donations and then distributed them to victims of the eruption in Lumajang through the Lumajang Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPPD). “With the Haveners for Lumajang movement, we are also expected to continuously increase our care and empathy for others in need, whoever and wherever we are,” said Marketing Communication Manager, Dea Karina Lukito, Tuesday (Jan 18).
The collected donations were then delivered directly by three representatives of The Haven Bali Seminyak employees to Lumajang. The assistance was then received directly by Wawan Hadi Siswoyo, as the Head of Prevention, Preparedness and Logistics of the BPBD Lumajang. On behalf of all residents and victims of Semeru, Wawan Hadi Siswoyo expressed his deep gratitude for the helping hand. “He also ensures that all donations collected from various parties will be distributed, especially after the construction of houses and the relocation of residents have been completed,” said Dea.
Likewise, representatives of The Haven Bali Seminyak offered their deepest condolences to the bereaved families. The bereaved families are also prayed for to be given the fortitude and strength to rise again. Meanwhile, the volunteers are expected to be still vivacious and always be given health so that they can maintain and carry out their duties.
Meanwhile, Human Resources Manager, Tut Adhi, stated that the movement is purely the initiative of employees who are also concerned about the eruption of Mount Semeru. The donations collected are in the form of various basic necessities, mineral water, suitable clothing, toiletries and cleaning equipment, sanitary napkins, diapers and baby milk, snacks, and some cash.
