Tourist visits to The Kayon Jungle Resort at the end of 2021 increased quite a bit along with the increasing number of domestic tourists visiting Bali. Entering January 2022, the level of domestic tourist arrivals began to decline because in general it was not the traveling season, but his party admitted that there are still better room reservations than the same month in the previous year since there are no signs of an international market yet to come. “Right now, we are still focusing on working on the domestic market and it has been proven to help increase the occupancy rate of our resorts. Because of this visit, and to provide a new culinary experience, we launch a special menu or signature dish, namely the Juicy Bebek Kayon,” he said.
The resort located at Bresela Hamlet and Village, Payangan, Gianyar, offers a very wonderful view. It comes with a very different atmosphere from Kuta, Legian or Canggu. During this pandemic, as an industry, he admitted that he has not been able to make predictions or descriptions of tourism development in 2022 considering that there is no certainty that international tourists will come to Bali. Even if there is a target, it remains for short term. Targeting the domestic market is still vulnerable because government policies regarding travel rules for domestic tourists to Bali occasionally change. It could be that at this time, the room booking rate is quite good, but suddenly there is a change due to the government’s policy. “Currently it is still a formidable challenge but we remain optimistic that we will be able to get through these difficult times to the fullest,” he concluded.
