Familiarity and joy with full of togetherness were showed by hotel staff and guests who celebrated Earth Hour at The Haven Suites Bali Berawa on Saturday (Mar 27). This activity is a form of support given by The Haven Suites Bali Berawa that cares for environmental preservation. “We do this activity by turning off the lights for an hour, starting at 20:30 to 21:30 Local Time,” said Marketing Communication Executive, Bella Ayu Virdani, on Monday (Mar 29)
Bella stated that the implementation of the activity was almost the same as before, namely there were no crowds, but filled with lighting candles in the hotel area. “We also invite in-house guests and Instagram followers to turn off unnecessary lights for an hour, then share their Earth Hour activities digitally by marking our hotel in every post on Instagram social media,” Bella said excitedly.
Currently, the earth is facing various threats, such as global warming, climate change, deforestation, landfill, air, water and soil pollution where all of which are serious problems happening to our environment. “This is an annual event organized by the World Wide Fund (WWF) and celebrated all over the world. Earth hour is a movement that aims to protect the environment and invite people to care and take action for the earth from the threat of climate change,” she explained.
By becoming a member of WWF Signing Blue, it is imperative for The Haven Suites Bali Berawa to continuously support WWF’s activities and certainly make the earth better. “Turning off the lights in just an hour can provide great benefits for the earth. With this small thing, it can make a big impact and considerable benefits in the future,” she concluded seriously. (BTN/015)
