The glass bridge attraction in Gianyar District, which is the first in Southeast Asia, was officially opened to the public. The inauguration was carried out in the western part of the Bali Glass Bridge or Bali Kaishi Glass Bridge, Banjar Tegenungan, Kemenuh Village, Sukawati Subdistrict, Gianyar, on Friday (Nov 11). This Glass Bridge is a new tourism vehicle with an interesting view of the Petanu River. This glass bridge stretching for about 188 meters with 66 meters height will provide a new sensation for fans of adrenaline testing challenges.
This bridge was built on two cliffs that connect Banjar Blangsinga, Saba Village, Blahbatuh Subdstrict to the east and Banjar Tegenungan, Kemenuh Village, Sukawati District to the west. “Construction of the bridge was built with foreign investment and specifically brought in experts from China,” said the owner of Bali Glass Bridge, Dewa Sukrawan.
This glass bridge should have been completed in 6 months, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it then took two years to build. In addition, he was grateful because of the support from the community components from both Kemenuh Village and Saba Village as well as government officials from the village level to the central level.
Meanwhile, Head of the Bali Tourism Office, Tjok Bagus Pemayun, who represented the Governor of Bali, greatly appreciated to the construction of the glass bridge and the opening of the bridge. This glass bridge will add to the attractiveness of Bali tourist destinations which are famous for their culture but also for their nature. “Thank you because Indonesia Bali Kaishi has opened this tourist attraction,” said Tjok Bagus Pemayun.
Hopefully, the glass bridge vehicle can improve the economy of Gianyar and Bali Province. The day after the soft opening, the glass bridge was opened to the public. Entrance tickets are divided into three categories, namely for local Balinese, domestic and foreign tourists. Ticket prices are still tentative of around IDR 100,000 to IDR 200,000.
